Our Communities

Thomas Eggar LLP is committed to ensuring that our business is operated in a socially responsible way; from our direct and indirect impact on the environment to the support we provide to the local community. We continually review our operations to ensure that we contribute to a sustainable environment and our conduct is fair and ethical.

The firm is committed to supporting initiatives for the benefit of the local community and each of our offices of becoming involved with a profile raising community based project.

These projects are:

• Chichester – Pallant House Gallery – we provided sponsorship to the Gallery and their Scottish Colourist exhibition which ran from June to November 2009. Through various linked initiatives this attracted the largest number of visitors to the Gallery and was extremely popular. In 2010/2011 we are the Gallery's major sponsor of their Community Programme and our support will help the Programme continue its important role in creating an inclusive and vibrant Gallery.
• Gatwick - St Catherine's Hospice - the Gatwick office is helping to raise the £4.7m they need each year to provide care services. In 2009 we raised £1,250 and we are aiming to increase this in 2010.
• Newbury - The West Berkshire Library - our sponsorship meant that their 10 weeks' Sunday opening pilot scheme from 25 April to 27 June 2010 went ahead, enabling local working families to share books with their children on their day off.
• Southampton - Rose Road Association - our employees are on the panel of this charity, getting involved to build awareness and raise valuable funds. The main sponsorship is the Thomas Eggar Team Triathlon on 24 November and the Hollywood Crystal Ball on 13 November 2010.
• Worthing - St Barnabas House - Since February 2010 Thomas Eggar Worthing staff have raised £3,450 through various employee initiatives. £850 from the total amount enables St Barnabas to cover the cost of a 48 hour stay in their In-patient unit for a patient, or covers the cost of 5 day visits to their day hospice for a patient.
